Group Composition:
    1 Tank
    2 Healers
    5 DPS

    Missile Salvo - Missiles are fired at each person in the Ops group concurrently and successively
    Rocket Burst - High single target damage with AOE and Knockback, identified by a red circle on character
    Storm Protocol - Red circles appear on the ground beneath characters for a period of time, missiles drop into those circles
    Basic Melee
    Cannonade - Single target ranged damage, instant cast.


    Before beginning Missile Salvo XRR-3 will stun all characters in melee range
    XRR-3 has a front cleave with knockback that he will use at various times

Normal Mode Strategy:

    To cut down on the risk of AOE damage, the group should split up into left/right sides, each taking a healer. Melee DPS should be opposite the Tank's side for optimal placement.

    Ranged DPS and healers move to stand next to the pillar (that the turrets were on) on their corresponding side and spread out from eachother. The Tank should have his back to his side turret, melee DPS should be behind the boss.

    The Boss will say something about having attacks analysed before going into Storm Protocol Mode. During this period players should run around staying out of the small red circles while continuing to DPS if possible.

    If you are targeted by Rocket Burst (red circle on you) move immediately away from any fellow players. As a tank and/or melee DPS I've never been targeted by this skill.

    The Boss will say something about alternative firing sequence before performing his shockwave move. The damage is minimal, but if there is a surplus of melee DPS they should get away from him at this point and head for their pillars. The Tank will be stunned, then launched through the air (this is why his back was to his pillar). After the tank goes flying XRR-3 will sit down and perform Missile Salvo.

    During Missile Salvo everyone should duck behind the pillars on their corresponding side, making sure to break LoS with the boss. You'll know you're in the right position if you aren't being hit with rockets.

    Once XRR-3 stands up everyone exits the pillar cover and goes back on the offensive.

    At 10% XRR-3 will enter his last combat phase which is basically a constant Missile Salvo.

    In groups with all (or most) ranged DPS the groups can retreat to their pillar positions, with the healers LoS'd from the boss. Ranged DPS can then continue attacking the boss and duck back to safety if their health gets low.
    In groups with all (or most) melee DPS, the whole group should stack in front of the boss for AOE healing and just power through the last 10% of this health. Use defensive cooldowns to make life easier on the healers.
    As the tank at this point you can't hide, so if your group is using option 1 you'll probably die. This is your job as the meatshield, you should be used to it by now.

Hard Mode Strategy:

    The same strategy works for the most part, the only notable difference is that XRR-3 gets a damage increase and more health. To combat his higher health ranged DPS should continue to attack during the missile salvos, only ducking behind the pillars if they are low on health and need to be topped off.

Nightmare Mode Strategy:

    Another damage increase and more health. The same strategy works from Normal mode. It is highly recommended to go with option 2 after 10% health even if your group is mostly ranged DPS since you will want to squeeze out every extra ounce of damage at the end to kill him as quickly as possible.

16-Man Changes:

    I died almost immediately due to his AOE and AOE sweep/knockback. Melee really need to be on the ball for this and get out of range before it's too late. When we got him down to 10% and just before he was settling into constant missile spam mode almost all the Melee characters died immediately due to his AOE and knockback.

    I noticed that his tank knockback and Rail shot do a ton more damage as well, but it can be mitigated and healed through if you're ready for it.

Tank Tips:

    Make sure you have the boss positioned with your back toward your pillar, so when you get thrown into the air before the Missile Salvo you can easily duck behind the pillar. Alternately guardian leap to a ranged DPS standing by the pillars and quickly duck behind.

    There are times when you will get thrown back without warning, your leap should be off cooldown so this will only be a minor inconvenience, leap back as quickly as possible. Make sure you taunt the boss back onto you as soon as possible or cannonade will hit someone else and do a good amount of damage to them unexpectedly.

    If you are running this with an OT they will likely be behind the boss attacking and not get knocked back, if you are the OT, just target the MT when you get stunned and Guardian Leap to him after he is thrown to get out of the way quickly.

    During Storm Protocol you will need to move, but it isn't necessary to run around in circles, you should be able to see the red spots under your feet with plenty of time to move out of them. I found walking forward beneath the boss for the first one, then right, then back (usually only three target me) keeps the boss well in position and doesn't threaten the melee DPS with his cleave.

Quick Recap:

    Split into 2 groups by the left and right Pillar
    Tank in front, melee DPS do it from behind
    Don't stand in red circle
    Move away from people if you are targeted with a red circle
    Hide behind pillars during Missile Salvo (ranged continue DPSing on Hard Mode and Higher)
    Group up for AOE healing during final 10%
